Our maze is unique in that it’s divided into 3 sections that break off of a central hub and each section is color coded. Be sure to keep an eye out for those letter posts, they can blend right into the corn. The objective is to find each of the eight letters that make up the words CORN MAZE hole punch each letter on your game card and complete the maze in the shortest possible time, (set your watch timer upon entering the maze). Within the maze there are eight posts that have a letter on them and a hole punch. A navigator will explain the maze rules and each family/friend group will pick a flag attached to a six-foot pole and a game card. When you are here, you will learn about farm life, get plenty of exercise, and have a fun time with family and friends.Īfter purchasing your ticket, make your way to the corn maze entrance. When you get in the maze, all you see is cornrows and blue skies and you might also hear some passing planes. The average time to maneuver all three sections of the maze takes 60-75 minutes. To make the five-foot paths, corn stalks are actually pulled out rather than cutting them to avoid dangerous stubs in the ground. He corn is about two feet tall when they start shaping it, and when they finally finish the first week of July, it is head tall. It takes four men working in the field to make the patterns. The maze is worked out as early as February where ideas are put on paper to turn a five acre cornfield into two and a half miles of twists and turns. It was the first corn maze in the state of North Carolina and since that time has been drawing individuals and families alike for great farm entertainment.
